Prophet Daniel Mosque

The shrine is located within the Kirkuk Citadel. It is one of the Jewish synagogues, and according to historians, the date of its establishment is in 2700 BC – AD. It contains three shrines, of the Prophet Hunayn, the Prophet Osir, and the Prophet Michael (peace be upon them). The people of Kirkuk revere him with all their components, and the person of the Prophet Daniel is of great importance, as the ancient people buried their dead next to the Prophet Daniel Mosque, as the cemetery next to the mosque is one of the oldest cemeteries in the city of Kirkuk.
