Basra International Stadium

The largest stadium in Iraq, with a capacity of more than 160,000 spectators. The location of this stadium is in the Sports City in Basra. The construction began in 2009 and it was opened in 2013. It was called the Palm Stadium because it has an external design similar to the trunk of a palm tree.
