Abu Dulaf Mosque

Samarra is crossed by a large street called (The Greatest Street), where at its end, and at a distance of 22 km from modern Samarra, there are the remains of a large mosque that is still identified with its most important parts. As for the builder of this mosque, he was the Caliph Al-Mutawakkil, and it was known as the Abu Dulaf Mosque. It is a rectangle with dimensions of 138.25 m x 215.50m. It has a wide central courtyard, and the aforementioned mosque is almost similar to the Great Mosque of Samarra and the minaret, which is similar to the Twisted Minaret, is smaller in size because it consists of three rounds with a height of 19 m.
