Freedom Monument

It was designed and implemented by the Iraqi sculptor Jawad Salim. The monument is 8 meters high, consisting of 14 bronze sculptures, 50 meters wide, designed and implemented by the architect Rifaat Chadirji, where the statues of 14 of its visible elements are directly related to the July 14 Revolution, and it narrates its events, viewed from right to left, starting from the right with a review by the revolution. As for the revolution period, it is in the middle, and the left represents a vision of post-revolution. The monument was completed on 16 July 1961, and became a distinctive symbol for the city of Baghdad ever since.
